Welcome to Calcasieu Orchid Society's website
The Calcasieu Orchid Society is a non-profit organization established in 1998 and maintains affiliation with the Southwest Regional Orchid Growers Association and the American Orchid Society. COS is a small group of local orchid hobbyists devoted to the expansion of knowledge, culture, propagation, use, and appreciation of orchids.
Monthly Meetings - meets at 2:30 PM on the 3nd Sunday of the month at the LSU Agriculture Center, 7101 Gulf Highway, Lake Charles, Lousiana 70605 located next to Burton Coliseum. The meetings usually consists of a guest speaker, plant raffle, refreshments and socializing. Occasionally we meet at members homes or other sponsoring locations.
Membership -The Calcasieu Orchid Society is open to any and all who are interested in orchids and extends a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to attend. Our meetings are quite fun and will provide a wealth of information to the orchid enthusiast.
